Meet Dave Hands
Accountant, office manager of a regional variety store chain, computer systems designer and sales manager of an international business machine company, owner/manager of a high-end retail sporting goods company and owner/manager of a national importer and catalogue sales firm. These are the landmarks of a business career spanning more than 40 years.
In 2007, Dave established small-business-consulting, a management consulting practice dedicated to helping small business owners cope with the managerial challenges, the personal time constraints and the range of specialized skills essential for survival and growth in today's highly competitive business climate.
Beyond “business coaching”, we transfer practical, profit-driven knowledge and skills, based on first-hand experience acquired through many years in the trenches.
Whether it's launching a new enterprise, sorting out neglected accounting records, helping to recruit and train new people, mapping marketing strategy and tactics or bringing a fresh, savvy perspective to a business stalling in mid-flight, Dave's range of skills and depth of experience may be the key to new or renewed growth in your business.
In addition to his ongoing consulting practice, Dave is a volunteer Mentor with Futurpreneur Canada, a director of the Carleton Place Chamber of Commerce and founder of the Chamber’s AIM Project, fostering new startups, sustained business growth and youth business-financial literacy.
